Only had PS2’s previously (987.2/997) and they are good, but seem to go off after 3 years? Plus aren’t so great when it’s really cold.
Kumho’s are excellent (987.1) also had the winter version, if I remember the M/S are slightly narrower.
New Pirelli’s on a 996 - nope
Currently have Goodyear F1 which are a brilliant all rounder even around the lower temperatures/wet.
I get the Michelin thing but don’t think it is the only option.

My old 997 was quite good as only one side ever needed polishing 😂

Second one is a nice car, I missed one at Portiacraft early last year

Bought two cars from them, slight issue on one car that was just past the three months (so not covered)
Even so would still regard them as good

Stockport, I’ve used Mike at Sports and Classic and Colin at Ninemeister in the past, both excellent. But thinking Unique or Revolution this time

Better that they were thorough? Where was it, still looking for a North West indy later in the year for a service and some other bits.

Think steel is a US market reg thing?
-
I cut one of the worst hard lines and although very pitted, MOT advisory etc the pipe wall still had a decent thickness of metal.

I’ve just had all of this done, went for cunifer lines, one issue was removing the hard lines that go into the back of the caliper, sent the whole to to BCS and they removed them. Bigger job than planned, aren’t they always 😂Will post some pics.

The garage doing my brakes took all the trays off, must have been lucky as could only see one snapped stud.
Someone handy with a welder could tack new ones on.
Anyway I sprayed some bilt hamber dynax on them as there were a bit rusty.

Went to see how my new brake refresh was getting on:

As has been mentioned, wheel bearing noise is distinctive and easy to check. Anyone with an older Audi, ask for their reduced rate
