£300 for both fronts and front to rear this week, in Surrey.

Mechanic reckoned it is near enough a full days labour (he’s relatively cheap for Surrey)

Good price, I need mine done but will no doubt stick with Lee at Cotswold Porsche

I actually had a chance to drive mine today so took it out for a blast - I absolutely love it! 😍

I then had a go at fixing my boot release issue (it worked off the key but not the lever by the driver's seat)

This bodge job actually works! I'm quite amazed 😄

Innovation is what it’s all about, very satisfying I’m sure.

    Well

    Fitted the hardtop......winter is here!

Fitted second set of wheels as the set on the car are coming off for refurbishment

But I'll still be able to use the car ( weather conditions permitting 😃)

Fitted mine the other, love the way it changes the look of the car, somebody at work said the other day, you’ve got 2 Porsche’s.

ive had the headlining and plastic trim all covered in Boxster red alcantara on the HT and it a lovely place to sit, feels very luxurious, quieter, warmer just feels different, so in away it is like having 2 cars.

if the weather is good, it only takes a couple of mins to take the HT off so not an issue if you get one of those rare sunny winter days

Packed car and fitted new Boot-bag and headed 120 miles down A14/M11/M25/M2 to Chatham for first leg of trip to the Loire Valley. Ran nicely with the retro fitted cruise, new front tyres and tracking. Rear visibility not too compromised with Boot-bag, only about half the height of the mirror is obscured.

Sit on a cushion, that should sort visibility, thats what my wife does 😂😂😂😂

  6. Changed my all discs and brake pads, two retaining screws on one of the discs had to be drilled out but apart from that, one of the easiest jobs ive done.

Apart from a school boy error, I couldn’t get the rear discs off, and when i got a bit of movement they would spring back just couldn’t figure it out, then I released I’d left the handbrake on 🤪

    I fitted a replacement roof drip pan/tray 🙂

I'm definitely not 'handy with spanners' but I want to improve and actually managed to do this one. I'm feeling pretty chuffed 😊

So this was where the water was coming in! Grrrr...

Replacement (used) acquired from 9Apart and fitted today...

I’m wanting to do that, but have been told its a mare to do, how long did it take you and how much did you pay for the drip tray?

Any issues with re aligning roof when putting back together? PM me if you don’t want to discuss price.

I think the ambers do look a little clearer and brighter but sadly the colour does not get restored during this process.  I have a feeling my NS headlight must have been replaced with a new one at some stage which is why the amber is slightly darker on that one.

Maybe we should compare ambers to see if we can get a better match by swapping with each other.

Fitted new headlamp washer jets.  Now the spray hits the lights and not the rest of the county.

Also pre-celebrated my 50th for tomorrow (25th March).  My wife has a friend who is a cake maker, not bad.

Looking a bit said there sitting on your car sized cake and holding a bottle of bubble, I’d be smiling, bit of a fantasy of mine, lol

    happy birthday🍺🍸🍷

Hiya no I don’t think it would fit because of the way the bottom console tapers in as it’s wider at the top than at the bottom.  Is you temp control system not just a single din unit like the air con control unit?  I would be surprised if you can’t move it as all 986 models as far as I am aware had the same basic dashboard layout and then different controls added depending on the spec.

No, not without dash out, due to it being a manual temp control connectors at the back rather than elctrical connectors.

Fitted a Pioneer Apple car play head unit and also had a tracker fitted.  Much better now and works well with the Bose

I don’t have air con so so can’t move my temp controls around, do you know if this unit would fit in the bottom two pods?
