Finally going in to have the clutch replaced at CPS, it’s lasted 25yrs and 210k miles so not a bad effort, will be leaving the IMS in situ unless it’s looking weapy. Having some roof work done too, bit of alignment and the sensor put back in place which I buggered up when I removed the roof to replace the drip tray.
Looking forward to a light smooth action......
Magnificent service record🙌🙌🙌

Had the roof down when my 986 seats came out.

First boxster breakdown on 4 years. Not bad going, that👍
Might sound silly but have you checked you tightened the fuel cap at least three clicks?
Also how old are your Cats? If they are original and started to breakdown that will mess with the back pressure. Would also get worse as it warmed up of the honeycomb is breaking down.
Did you record a sound file of how it sounded when it last ran? On the Facebook group this has been used to great diagnostic effect.

There goes that conversation then
Undecided as I like the original 986/996 look and daytime running lights aren’t period correct. So I’m inclined to leave it as is.
Sorry, busy week so quick reply 😖 -

Nice, what are you LED's like when on? Wired them in as DRL's?
Not connected yet.

Wow, prices really have plummeted! and I am totally out of touch with the market 🙄
Very strong on mileage that one, @CliveH I suspect they’ve factored that in the pricing. Manual surely is still a widely attractive option?

BTW - I think the 986 looks better with the wheels’ outer edges closer the the arch.
@Christopher2110 - 👍
An opinion shared.
and practiced (though with wider wheels instead of spacers)

Have both. Then decide which to keep. It will become obvious to you based on your usage and feelings.
