I suspect I know why they have that minimum order value.

If it helps order them for delivery to me and I’ll forward them to you. We can work out the onward postage to you - just cover those costs.
Send me a message if that works for you - am happy to help.

Fantastic, thank you map. I'll check the price from local Porsche tomorrow and will drop you a note after that.

    granted +VAT

I tried to order these to ship to Finland, but Design911 website states on checkout screen, that "The order to EU has to be above 130 GBP"... so can't order those. Never see thia on any country's 'this how we do business' statement (incl. US, Japan, China, Taiwan, etc...).

Least to say, I'm a bit surprised.

    Few little bits on the car today;

A month or so ago I swapped the outer vents for some with mounts for the cup holders; bought new cup holders and have now discovered just how limited their use is (short cups only, too close to the A pillar).

Noticed a rubber bush on the hood mechanism was properly goosed, so replaced that.

Also added some GT3 brake ducts, they were super cheap but I’m hoping may help with pad temps if I take it on track.

Could you help me with, what is the part number on the Left side GT3 brake duct? I can't see it fully on the image and looks like there might be some difference besides the last digits 91 vs. 92.

I received the parts, but they are not what I needed, the part number sent is 986 580 751 00

which is indeed number 9 from graph 812-01,  but it's a very small clip, not the thing that mounts on the roll-bar

What I need is a mounting clip like this 🙁:

I did the swap of one clip a year a go and this is the parts bag from OPC that has all those rollbar clips:

As metioned earlier on this thread, to replace the clips on the rollbar, you need to remove the padding OR at least loosen it from one end to give room to do the change. I drilled the old clips rivets and then installed the new clips. Easy DYI to do.

Whereabouts are you ?  There are a few folks around with Porsche diags who could check the system logs to see what is triggering the double chirp ( which is a “system error” rather than a “something open” ) fault.

Thank PaulP, I'm in Finland and will porobably take the car to POrche Center here at the fall or spring to see if they can just read why the double beep shows up sometime...

Positive: Fitted new alarm sensor unit and the double beep is gone !😀

Negative: Front tyres are worn on the edges, new tyres and four wheel alignment needed😒

What is this sensor you're mentioning and where it is located? I get the double beep occasionally on my 2001 car and have swapped / measured buch of microswitches with no luck on stopping the double beep.

  7. Changed the front chock supporting mount plate, bump stop and the bellows dust cover. All this without taking coffing arm loose.

Just loosened the antiroll bar from the side I was working on and compressed the strut spring with two spring compressors as it was worked on.

Cleaned all the parts, including the actual top plate bearing and re-greased it. Now the car feels more 'solid' and more sensitive on steering.

For most uprated higher temp pads you won't be able to use the wear sensor. Just connect the wires together. If you were to use the uprated pads to their proper potential with a wear sensor you would melt the sensor and trigger the pad wear light anyway. I have melted the sensor on OE pads.

This was good to know. Last winter I did full brake job on my 2001 2.7 and took it first time to track this year spring. At the end of 3rd start the brake wear light came on... I was certain that the fault can not be real and brakes worked fantastic compared to the pre-brake job.

Took the car home after the day and opened the brakes next day - found out both front sensors melted... I was certain that I had installed those sensors somehow wrong, but could not validate it. New sensors in and all is well now :) Probably need to take sensors out from pads if the issue comes back again...

I did this on Friday, albeit replacing aftermarket boxes rather than a broken system.

Any leaks from your joints; I needed to use some Fire Gum but 🤞🏻sorted now.

No leaks. I did use a bit of exhaust pipe paste to seal the downpipes to U-bends better.

  10. Together with my 15 year son, we changed the backbox on the Boxster. Original had started leaking from couple of corner seams after approx 180.000miles. The replacement in the picture is in very nice condition, it has been driven approximaltely 25.000miles.

It was suprisingly simple and easy to take the rear end apart on the Boxster:)

Sorted my drivers side window height being too low and allowing water in when it rained.

2 hour job in the end with a lot of swearing etc but almost got it perfect...

I have 2001 Boxster and the window height can be adjusted from underneath the door without taking the door apart. Just open the rubber plug and the adjusting nut will be accessible with few inch extension on the socket.

Is the window adjusting from door bottom access different / eliminated from 2003 model?

  12. Installed with my son to our 2001 Boxster new TRW  discs, refurbished and painted calipers with fresh ferodo pads on the rear axle. Fronts were done same way few weeks earlier also during winter 'hibernation'.

Today we also flushed the brake system with new brake fluid. Next week is a time for new tires to be installed and then we're ready for the road :)
