    O have some questions!

With the experience you got now building this car, imagínate you decide build a second unit!

    1. How long time do you think it would take you building a second unit?

    2. What would you not make at the second unit?

    cheers

I was very lucky with weather all way crossing Gran Canaria to Spanish mainland.img_4912-jpeg.290890ec40f262-c11b-4681-9566-9a9499154d38-jpe First night was in Trujillo, a beautiful old Middle Ages town in Spain.

img_4907-jpeg.290895Next stop was in Salamanca famous for the great catedral, but what most interested me is Liz Art Deco museum, since I was a child I have always felt a great passion for Art Deco (I’m son of a antique dealer)

New light weight flywheel and clutch.

The old flywheel have begin vibrating, so decided go for asco aluminium unit, hopefully it will make the engine rew more “happy”🥳

    Sounds good!

Love the ST4, you have the same bike philosophy as me, I keep saying I should sell my 750ssie but I can't, even though I am too old to ride it with rearsets and clip ons.

Old Rockers newer dye, we aren’t to old, we just make shorter journeys at our sport bikes…

  7. Just hijacking my own tread with more bike stuff.....

I bought Ducati ST4s in Madrid having in mind making another cafe racer, but during the journey from Madrid to Sevilla I realised how good and comfortable the bike is, Back to my island I used it to go to work as daily driver and it's fantastic, with space for laptop and EPI for when I'm around at local harbour making helideck inspection at the rigs and vessels.

So I decided keep is as it is but giving it a new look and a good maintenance.

Lower fairing was missing, broken mirrors and a general shaggy look.

I painted the wheels in same colour as at the 987..

Nice, I think they make great cafe racers, light, good handling, not too powerful but fun.

You’re right, great handling at twisty roads using the “Ducati torque” and listening to the V2 symphony at local mountain roads. I’m a bit impatient to finishing another nice little Ducati this days, My idea is driving around Portugal this summer with it.

Sorry to go back to the bikes, but as an owner of 3 Ducatis (including a new black / gold 900SS in 1979), you have set me thinking again about a project I had in mind for my 750SSie sitting doing sod all.

Absolutely loved the Jota, two friends had Mirages (one is now a cafe racer of sorts), nearly bought a Le Mans on several occasions but never pulled the trigger. Also loved the Montjuic, I can remember the Superbike write up which showed a man removing his brain before going out to ride it.

Anyway, good luck with the Porsche, I am envious of your cafe racer building abilities and you climate!

Apologies again for high jacking the thread.

    A 800SS I made some years ago..

  10. Well things happen and all isn't good!

    Good news first:

I finished the car and had a beautiful trip with my mother at local mountain roads.

    The bad news:

Next day I was driving with my wife at a sunny coast road at 2500rpm in 6 gear, suddenly POFF, the engine just seized.

I haven't pull out the engine from the car to see what it is, But now it have a new engine ventilation in the upper part of the engine case...

I have bought another engine who will arrive during this month..............
