joey_b
Being 25 and first time owner of a high performance car I was expecting to pay over the odds.My best insurance quote when I bought the car was £2150. This was after going throughsite after site including all the big names and some specialists. I found some RIDICULOUS quotes - Adrian Flux for example - £6000+ and Churchill about £9000+.So I had to settle at £2150. The excess was £1400 and it was only a 10 month policy. Grrr. The premium was £400 more due to the fact someone had gone into the back of my previous car (Grande Punto) while it was parked up - my arguing on the phone got me nowhere. GOOD NEWS. Sat here on the forum I saw Ruby insurance and thought I'd try a quote just to see if I could save any money. They rang me back and had found me a quote for £1499, saving me over £600, including 5 track days and a much lower excess of £750, saving me even more should the unthinkable happen Still expensive but I'm a lot happier and can now afford some new tyres!
