Odd heater issue

Seems like the part I linked to is in fact an A/C Evaporator Housing Temperature Switch, not an interior temperature sensor.

Sorry Guys.....I was just going on what was listed on design 911.

This is the correct one, or at least it looks like the one in my car...

Having cleaned mine up, the temp is def warmer now from about 27. Haven't had the chance to give it a run to see how it fares on the road, but I suspect a lot of the issues are just down to 15+ years of crud accumulating on the sensor.

The fan behind the sensor on mine was also really grubby so I gave that a good clean too.

Not too bad a job to do overall, but I couldn't work out how to reconnect the arm that opens and closes the vent when you turn the wheel on the vent - one for another day now.

Just checking how you access the sensor and the fan as Im having the same problem, warmish air only on the Hi setting.

The sensor and fan are behind the heater vent on the far passenger side (ie next to the side window).  You have to remove the vent to get to it.

Is that behind the black plastic cover that has the grey foam layer on top with the 2 snap out plastic screws?

Hi Elppin

Re opened this thread, I've got same problem, have taken the sensor out and was going to replace but if you can remember, did you have any luck cleaning the sensor and if so what did you use to clean it as I'm unsure what to use and I would rather have a go at cleaning before buying.

Thanks
