I test drove a 718 Boxster S and although the performance was fantastic compared to my 981, I quite like the sharp styling (apart from the fussy badging) but really prefer the sound of the six. The only other thing which was not to my taste was the manual gearbox which did not have the slick change I would have hoped for, it was new, so may get better with miles. They are both flat 4 but sound very different. The scooby is max power magazine era the 718 is exotic sounding. Either way way I love it, my mateowns a 2016 turbo s and loves the sound as well. The funny thing is they sound pretty similar. i think opinions are differing as it was such a huge difference...... no evolution just a total change and that will take a while for some people.
