1666matt
Afternoon chap's Quick question I took my s for a service and a check over, apart from small bits and pieces which are not to difficult or can wait (slight rms weep) so I am quite happy, apart from the front wheel bearing quote which was £480! Does anyone know any independents near Hampshire or is this the normal sort of price?
AMacdonald
I don't know about Hampshire but Revolution quoted me £315 to do both my front bearings last year.

Simon_S
The bearing itself only costs £40, I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Is there any reason you need to have it fitted by a Porsche specialist? £440 for what looks like a couple of hours labour looks a bit steep. Personally, I was planning to remove the hub myself and just pay my local garage to press out the old bearing.
bally4563
That's the way forward, as long as nothing is overly seized not overly complicated to remove.
1666matt
Thanks guy's, I am fairly happy to try most things and this doesn't overly bother me but I have read that these are a nightmare to do and I haven't got the special hub puller or a torque wrench that does the hub nut up. 18greens
See what eporsch.co.uk say. They are based near Bisley.
Jon61
Depending on where in Hampshire you are, Addspeed in Horsham might be worth checking. Closer than Revolution, tho I wouldn't be surprised if they're more expensive (I didn't use them when the bearing went on my 986 as I was abroad at the time). 1666matt
Addspeed is where I will be going £204 all in. Then half to an hour labour for tracking. If I can get this camber bolt out ?♂️
