hopz121
Hi all, Noticed whilst cleaning the car the other day that I have lost the end on the 'B' on the rear badge. (I think Dealer must have snapped it and placed it gently on) A car to Porsche today confirmed I need to have the new badge painted Does anyone know the exact paint code for the 987.2 Black Edition? Or anyone one know where I can find a sticker of something with it on around the car? I keep getting conflicting codes whilst searching the internet. Thanks Ash

CliveH
Glad to see this has been resolved. Does that make 5 BEs on the forum?
rowbos
Ah another one! ? That’s 6 I think? I think you can buy a black badge for the 987.2 from the OPC - around £90 though from memory... For reference the colour is... Colour Code: Black/L041
hopz121
Apparently they don't sell a Gloss black one only Matt Black, the correct badge for the BE comes in primer and needs to be painted. I have called a few different dealers and been told the same New badge ordered and a car cover and then its time to give it a detail

What was the cost of the primed badge?
hopz121
It was £36 something plus Vat and I got 10% off, Just got to get it painted now. Also bought an indoor car cover for £225 and got 10% off that too.
Lonewolfgjp
That seems quite a fair price? Painting shouldn't be too expensive as a body shop will mix up a tiny bit of paint off their mixing scheme. Make sure you get it professionally painted and don't get tempted to spray can it? I think if I ever get any paint done I will save having a new badge until then - unless it drops off or I pull it off whilst cleaning.
RBD914 v2
My recently acquired 981 S has no Boxster badge on the back, just a PORSCHE one. I assume that there is a debadge option?? Looks great though as the Boxster badge was prone to breakage when cleaning.
