pjk1978
Hey....so my previous MOT had advisories for worn front discs and suspension arm bushes. New MOT at the same place last week....no advisories and I havent done any work on the car...only done 700k between MOT's! Anyone else had experience of this type of inconsistency? antjrice
All the time - even with the same tester. I think you've just got to take the specific data from the advisories and act on it if required. I now have a chat with the tester if possible to find out what they saw in real terms. 700k between MOT's though....i'll assume they were motorway miles 😉😁
pjk1978
Aye...700k between last MoT's.. ....we've had a new addition to the family. I almost sold the 987 when the Mrs announced the new arrival but decided i just couldn't do It! So I get the odd Sunday morning hour of fun. ...but she's always been a fair weather car too. I still get the big smile when I get out! 5th year of ownership ..she now has 60k on the clock.
bally4563
Says it all an advisory, some people are more diligent than others, “as in if was mine I would get that done?!! “

DaveEFI
It's not easy to measure the usual grooved worn discs accurately, so a degree of judgement is involved. An advisory generally means it will need sorting before the next MOT - but assumes average miles.
