Khaa1329 Posted May 6, 2020 Author Report Share Posted May 6, 2020 Thanks all for the help. I took the car to an Indie recommended by a friend and they very nicely squeezed me in this morning. As I suspected when changing the battery in the key fob you need to insert the key into the lock to able the car to repair with the key, the lock barrel was incorrectly fixed by a previous owner and had to be repaired, once the key inserted and operated the lock then the remote fob became active again. Took a while to remove the door card and get to the lock but got there in the end. Hopefully no more problems for a while! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
