stupidget
I think the springs have gone in the bottom part of my drivers side seat as it seems to sink lower than the passenger side one. Does anybody know if it's possible to fix this?
Shazbot
They're not really springs more like a plastic web. Not sure if it's available separately, sorted mine with some large cable ties to re-join the 'web' and remove the sag.
mvw
This is what you need https://www.rosepassion.com/en/99652150702-p71913-mat-99652150701-P71913 I repaired mine with some upholstery thread before I knew you could pick them up for for a reasonable price. SimonT001
I think mine is very much in need of this although I haven't sat in another for comparison. Is it an easy job?
stupidget
Thanks for the feed back on what needs to be done. I've found this on the 986forum site: https://tinyurl.com/4ytw9a25 is this similar to what you did @Shazbot@mvw
mvw
Similar, I had my seat base out as I was fitting a heated element. While I had access I put some big stitches in across the split in the part hessian/rubber band shown in that thread. I have an upholstery needle and thread I used to repair my roof a while back. I fully expect my fix to fail at some point, at which time I’ll buy a new part. It looks straightforward to fit
