Really happy and collection scheduled for next Wednesday, just before our local PCGB weekend meeting. Do I take the Macan GTS or the Boxster S now🤔

If you're coming to the c*ck & Bottle you bring the Boxster as I really want to see it (and you'll be desperate to drive it anyway!)Look forward to meeting you and seeing the car. And Congrats by the way.

Yep, that's the plan, look forward to meeting the Dorset group👍

We have done local PCGB Macan get togethers but haven't felt it appropriate to turn up to "real" Porsche meetings in an SUV🤣🤣

All that matters is it's a Porsche ( and anyway a fellow committee member generally drives a Cayenne!).

Mrs Exy and I were committee members (Region 27) and we used to turn up in a Nissan Leaf which initially got a lot more interest than anything else  :)

Our short journey/dog carrier/golf club carrier/tip trip/general shed is a Leaf 30KwH, just to ease my conscience having a Macan and F-Type (soon to be Boxster S). It's actually a brilliant car for what it is built to do👍

Congratulations on the new car!

Not sure what the warranty is on it, but if you want a Porsche warranty you have to have owned the car for 3 months unless bought with an existing Porsche warranty or from an OPC.  You can choose one two or three years, and another recent change is that if you renew an existing warranty there is no need for the 111 point check, just pay to extend the warranty and that’s it.

Enjoy the many happy days out to come!

Thanks @Gorsh.

I can't wait for next week, I have had my F-Type for 4.5 years and have loved it, but the Boxster S in this configuration is another level.

It comes with the general traders 6 months AutoProtect warranty, but I have listed in writing with confirmation each and every key part such ss PADMs that the dealer has to guarantee with full replacement by an OPC if there is an issue in the 6 months.

They are a well respected local specialist dealer to me, so as comfortable as can be, plus the fact that it has full OPC service history and an OPC service late July, should be as much as I could get outside of the OPC network.

I have spoken to my local OPC. I have a great relationship with the service manager there as they sold me and look after my Macan GTS, who have checked with the previous OPC who confirmed there was no issues with the car and with its inclusive OPC history can't see any reason why it would be a problem getting it back onto the Porsche warranty.

So hopefully in 3 months I can get a positive check and get it on a 3 year Porsche warranty🤞

For what it's worth, I prefer the car in the second photo; looks a warmer colour. BUT, that may be purely a factor of the photography and it really has to be your choice.

I agree car no 2 looks the nicer colour but you can’t really judge it from the photos. I’m a photographer and I have to say Official Porsche dealership pictures are pretty rubbish. Never seem to show cars off to their best and too low a resolution.
