charliecwmboi
Hi All, I've had a problem with the car in the last few days. The car went into alarm a few hours after I connected my trickle charger, I couldn't reset the alarm, so I disconnected the back up batterie/tilt sensor to look for the fault. I found that the negative terminal on the main battery was slightly loose. After putting the car back together, the car was double beeping. I've put in a replacement back up batterie alarm sounder, so far, so good.. My question: is durametric good enough to show the location of faults in the alarm system? I.e. door / roof limit switches / back up batterie sounder issues etc

TROOPER88
Hard to read/understand the post tbh. Double beep is indeed a CL or alarm fault and yes, Durametric will help identify the issue.
charliecwmboi
Apologies @trooper88, in trying to keep it short, lost some detail.. I haven't had any experience of durametric and I'd like to understand that it would/could point me to the fault within the alarm ECU. Instead of just noting that there's a fault on the system. Thanks for the reply.
TROOPER88
Sounds like the quickest and cheapest option for you would be to have your local Porsche specialist diagnose your car for you 👍🏻 Durametric is expensive and if you only want it for this one job, it’ll work out a lot cheaper visiting Porsche
½cwt
@charliecwmboi where are you on the country, go to the Technical section and check to see if there is a Durametric or PIWIS owner near you who can help.

I think the fault has been sorted, I bought a used back up batterie sounder off ebay. I'm in Caerphilly, South Wales. I'll have a look on the tech section, cheers for the help 👍
