Papa Scuba Posted July 24, 2023 Report Share Posted July 24, 2023 Hey guys, I couldn't find information on which speakers I could replace the door woofers with on my Boxster 987 2007 with ASK amp. Would you perhaps have some recommendations? From my research I believe the size should be 5,25", but through modification of the speaker housing, one should be able to fit 8" in there. Patt Posted July 24, 2023 Report Share Posted July 24, 2023 Done loads in the past, too tied down with factory Bose and their shiote insistence of using resistance to gain more power, to bother changing it all out these days. Brands I've always found to be good: Rockford Fosgate - they always under rate their outputs. Best Amps ever. JBL - they are the cheaper commercial brand of Harman Kardon Hertz - cheap and yet surprisingly very good (1st recommended to me by the acoustic designer of HK) Focal - generally quite expensive though. Check depths before purchase for the doors, and indeed dash (crash bar quite close from memory) Look at RMS values not peak outputs. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
