Looking for a left side brake light cover

Hi all

I seem to have lost the cover of my boxsters left side brake light. 

It's a 2003 Boxster 2.7 litre convertible.

I'm not in the US so the dealer where I am is quoting me ridiculous prices for the whole brake light unit. 

There are a lot of options on ebay but the part number differs from mine although they are for the same model. 

Here's my question;

Can I actually buy one of these ebay parts with the different part number and just use the cover?

They look the same and I'm guessing the difference between the part numbers has to do with the fittings into the brake light well?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated, I'm not looking forward to spending hundreds of dollars for a cover!!

Even with international postage contacting one of the UK breakers (I think I am correct in assuming you are not in the UK) might get you what you need. A car even with a damaged rear light should still have an OK cover inside. Look on eBay for 9apart, Steve Strange, Porsche Heaven and Status Porsche.
