DR986 Posted January 8 Report Share Posted January 8 Hi - the stitching on the window of the canvas roof on my 2001 986 has perished. I have found 2 firms which can repair this for about £250. One in cheshire another in Liverpool. They move the roof, attach a new window and put it back on. They both promise the new window is bonded to original hood using the same method as used in the factory. Has anyone had any experience of this ? Yes. he uses the latest equivalent of the clear vinyl originally used (original material is no longer available. It is both bonded and stitched in place. You prices seem fair to what I paid back then. Took 2 hours whilst I waited and chatted with him on a sunny day.
