Got myself a very clean 2014 - 981

Love it 👍

I'm actually surprised at how decent the Jukebox sounds in the car albeit with just front speakers- could really do with a subwoofer behind the seats!!

she's an absolute beauty! i love how the white and black elements contrast so well, I'm still in the 'look back at her after parking' phase.

You’ll always be in that phase - probably pat her bum as well 😊👍

I adore it... 40k, absolutely immaculate inside and out and has been truly loved and adored by the 2 previous owners.

There is a snag however... I had a better audio experience in my teenage years driving my mums Ford KA around with an FM receiver linked to an MP3 player. It's the only drawback and will be the first thing I look to upgrade / change. They are atrocious, it's even making me think they're faulty but I think I'm just over thinking it.

Does anyone have any experience in upgrading the stock speaker system with a specialist in the UK? I have little to zero interest in trying to do this manually and whilst I've tinkered with custom mods to other cars (most recently the Z4 I had until last week) I really don't want to touch the immaculate trim / interior in this. I've already have people ask me if the plate is private as they cannot believe its a 2013 model.

So, any recommendations?

Looking forward to joining the community, I'm head over heals in love with the driving experience of this beautiful piece of engineering already!

I've just ordered this Discount Car Stereo > Music Streaming > A2D-CDR30 Streaming Add-on module for Porsche CDR30 and CDR31 Radios

After years of messing about with the stupid 3.5mm jack plug and charging a bluetooth device, I've finally gone with a hardwired solution. I have similar in my Golf and it works superbly.

The speakers are also awful so an upgrade is on the cards.

PS The car is stunning! Well done!. Open roads and that PSE.....you can't beat it!

I just finished installing my android head unit over the weekend, an absolute doddle and makes such an improvement on the original CDR that was in there. I got mine from here head unit pnp . Now I have in built sat nav through the receiver (taped under the steering wheel) and 2 usb points, one in the passenger footwell and one in the drivers which passed through the trim nice and easily.

planning on heading north a little from me and making use of the mid-wales roads that go through the mountains soon, just as soon as there's weather which warrants putting the top down!

So how close to simply 'plug and play' is the installation??

Im competent with lots of car DIY but electronics leaves me feeling ill/lost.

Bought myself a GTS that I'll soon be collecting so figured I'd introduce myself.

I've had a host of cars over the years including a 981 GT4 and am a fan of the 981 platform.

Decided after many years of manual ( and now loving open top motoring) to go PDK. Don't shoot me !

Enormous spec especially with the PCCB.

Really happy with mine but I'm not collecting until the weekend after Easter as they are closing for the holiday weekend.

My car might live outside so I'll be buying a full winter Porsche cover from design 911.

Have to say Harbour cars do have a good reputation.

I saw that list price new on my car was 68.5k

Yours will have been closer to 73/74?

Small world .

We are good friends and compared specs. My cars got almost the same amount of options but no ceramic brakes plus mine's  metallic white on Carrera 20" Classics.

Been out on drives together.

it's a great car wants for nothing like mine.

Enjoy.

My estimate is £75.5K

I did consider the newer 718 GTS however having driven my car I knew it was the one I wanted .

Out of curiosity did Harbour budge on the sticker price for you ?  They held firm on mine

No, not a penny off.  They claim to have had multiple interest.

Pretty much said the same to me.

TBH the car is in amazing shape and I wasn't going to walk away as it's a car I want to keep and tbf the spec on our cars would be hard to find again .

Some come up but rarely in that spec and in carmine.

Not sure if you've previously had PDK but I was super impressed with it .
I drove the white manual at OPc Portsmouth on the same day . Lovely car but the interior was no match and PDK sealed the deal for me.

Actually that looks good however I'm curious to know if I can get something that works with the already OEM unit.

I use a Mr12volt unit, but this requires you to open the PCM up to fit the board and ribbon cables

GTS are high spec to start with but you can still rack a lots of options.

I did compare when Mike owned his car to mine I had well over 17k of extras on mine so I guess Mike's ceramics pushed the extra 5k making 22k of options.

Very easy to start adding stuff but not to many with huge option lists.
