Thanks Alan, I live near Chichester and have visited the Harbour Cars showroom but didn't know that there was a Porsche specialist on site - Useful info. I'll drop by and check them out. andygo
Porsche mid sussex quoted me lots of money for my major Service: I'm slightly unsurejust what some items acttually are, for example 'Air filter suction'. Window cleaner outer is apparently where thye throw away your screenwash and refill it. The Top up bag is a small bag with a litre of 'complimentary ' oil inside. I particularly liked the replace brake fluid entry which includes a brake bleed. I'd be interested to find out how it's replaced without bleeding the brakes though. alank
andygo, had that done 2 years ago, and think it was £750 , for exactly above, inc plugs
andygo
RPM Technik want just over £1k for similar. NGK plugs cost me about £6 each last time I swapped them on my previous Cayman. Including working out how to remove the front plugs, took about an hour and a half from jacking the car up to lowering back down. nelmo
You're going to hate me but my car will not be seeing a garage for anything other than major problems - no way I am paying that much for that pokey amount of work just for some extra cash when/if I sell up. My last car (a Lexus) I had for 8 years - it never saw a dealer and I sold it for just as much as other cars of its age with full SHs (I was expecting to drop the price but the first guy who came didn't care). Sure, some people will care and just won't even call me but there are many who realise that SHs aren't worth the paper they are written on...any muppet can change the oil and filters and everything else on a 'garage service' is utter flannel. Obviously, lots of people don't want to change their own oil and that's fine but not for me...
andygo
I'm prolly going to go independent and get them to leave out most stuff for me to do.. As long as I have a stamp in the book and and relevant invoices, even if I have fitted most stuff, I'm sure it will be fine! I can do it all myself, having changed most stuff on the 4 previous Porsches I have owned, so agree totally.

alank
yes will look them up in 2 years time i think, only an hour away, means mine would have been £415 inc brakes and vat, not £
