Air and pollen filters replaced. Used these magic sponge things on the interior sill scuff plates. Came up pretty good.

Had a look at my engine for the first time since buying it, not the easiest job to get to! Especially disconnecting the plug from the speaker pod was a pain in the ar*e job!
And then after putting everything back together and opening the roof I looked at these 2 gaps by the side, and couldn't remember if it's supposed to look like this or not :
That is how it looks isn't, I haven't put the roof back wrong have I ?I'm not sure what you are trying to show but I've photographed mine if that helps

Skoosher ?
assuming windscreen washer - if that connector is related then it will be the heated washer jets I assume.
I wasn't aware it had heated washer jets!

Another little job then?

Noticed yesterday when I was replacing the top mount bearings that I have the brackets welded in place for these. Mine is a 2009, 2.9.

Driving to work this morning needed to use my skooshers. Nothing happened. Checked it at work. Skoosher tube off. Water all over battery and tray. Also found this connector with the grey plug disconnected. Looks like Autoglass didn't do that good a job after all. Anyone know what the wiring at the connector is for? It's just to the LHS of the battery.

Is it difficult/dangerous taking the door cards off? I want to repaint the door handle backing plates as they have a few scratches. Centre console too. Reckon body colour ( basalt)
The door cards are a bugger to get off. I would order some new clips before you start. Tightest fitting door cards I've encountered!

Fitted new offside too mount bearing and new drop link. Drop link bolt seized solid in hub. Out with the grinder 😡

Project 387

I think these look great. Saw a review from Jayemm on it. He mentioned that the screen ends up with a section at the bottom you can't see through. Other than that for me I think it's brilliant. I would go for the look in the pics apart from the hideous interior and hump colour. Silver, black interior and black humps. I really like that style of wheel also. Good luck. Can't wait to see how it turns out

Good news👍

Yeah looks fine. No problems. Marked up as Saint-Gobain Sekurit. Only problem is my aerial but knew I was going to have to replace that.

Fitted new front pads and then new windscreen fitted by Autoglass. Need to fit a new dab aerial now though as my original windscreen mounted one is now gubbed. Off with the glovebox etc again☹️

Stone chip shattered my windscreen today. Replacement scheduled for next Friday as long as I'm willing to make a round trip of 60+ miles. Boring & I have an excess of £100 to pay but better than paying for the whole thing myself.
It will be lovely to have flawless new glass, especially when night driving.
Me too. Booked in with Autoglass on the 20th.

Think I might drop in to RM tomorrow and see what he says. Might be better getting someone who actually knows what they're doing than fannying about with it myself!

Rab at RM bodywork did an amazing job on my arches mate. Just down at college Milton.
I was planning on having a go at it myself as it's not too big an area and kind of hidden. How are his prices?

AHH! It was your post I saw. It's definitely worth checking. Think I've caught it just in time.
-
Changed it's grills. Unfortunately or fortunately I found some rust 🙁 Nearside grill at the bottom left edge has been touching the bodywork all it's life, eventually rubbed the paint away and started to rust. It's just hidden by the Cayman ones and even more hidden by the original Boxster ones. Read a post on here somewhere that someone had exactly the same issue. Definitely worth checking if you've never had yours off. Will try to sort it in the next few days.

Mot,d advisory on rear tyres , which i was aware of, new tyres ordered through black circles
I think I would rather have replaced the tyres first and avoid an advisory on the history........but that's just me.

Started painting my new Cayman side vents. Real bugger to paint!
What have YOU done to your 987 today

Did you do this because you felt there was something wrong or is this something that people do routinely? I take it you're talking about the exhaust manifold?
