Approximately 12,000 a year. Used daily. Bought it with 50,800 on the clock, October 2018. Just went past 77,000 yesterday. Not had any major issues. Replaced original battery, broken rear spring, leaky coolant hose, front wheel bearing, brakes and set of tyres.
Should have added though I may be looking at a new clutch. Strange groaning noise from gearbox area when I press/ release the clutch pedal.

Fitted my Carnewal GT exhaust and 'S' tips. Really happy with the sound. Looks so much better with the new tips rather than the single 😃

Was that top one ever a nut, or just a tack weld?
😆I know. There wasn't much of it left.

Another Boxster owner passes the DIY initiation!
Well done, hope you put it back together with assembly compound so when you come to change the shocks, bump stops or top mounts it is a lot easier if you didn't do them whilst you were in there.
Of course.

Spoken like a true Scot.....😉 care to share any tips?
Are you planning on doing this job yourself?

Scrub that. Looks like it does.

Hi all. Contemplating a Carnewal GT exhaust for my 987.2. Looking for exhaust tips also. Does anyone know if the X pipe from the 981 fits the Gen 2 exhaust?

Was it fun getting the shock out?
Not what I would call fun! I'm a mecky to trade but working in a single garage with loads of s#"te lying around makes things much more awkward and I end up losing it because I'm lying on tools or tripping over stuff. Very frustrating!!! Rewarding in the end though knowing I've saved £££

How difficult was it? Your ARB looks to be in very good condition.
Straight forward enough. Just jacked up both sides of the front of the car to take the strain off the ARB. Used a pinch bar to lever up the bar enough to pull out the old ones. Apply a bit of grease to the new ones and manipulate them into place. Just awkward lying on the garage floor to take off the undertray to gain access to the bolts.

Getting a bit pricey!! Don't think the other half would be too amused!

I fitted the Zunsport black ones to my car. Definitely worth it just for the peace of mind.

Fitted a sprint booster a couple of weeks back. Rather pleased with it😀

Just ordered the Halfords one at £50. The jack I've been using I've had for nearly 34 years 😲 Replacing my rear discs and pads on Monday so hopefully it'll be up to the job.

Fitted 10mm spacers to the rear. Standard suspension on base 987.2 with 18s. Big improvement!
-
Been thinking of fitting spacers for a while. Kept looking at images of 15mm fitted to the rear and felt it was just a bit too much. So ordered a set of 10mm and fitted them to the rear. Think it looks just right.

Nice one! I've got a vibration off the exhaust when it's cold. Once it warms up it's fine. Going to try and have a look today.

I borrowed a mini oxy/ acetylene set from my work. Had them all out in around 2 hours. Heat is the best way in my opinion.
