  1. Hi @dpg123 Glad you found them helpful. Oracle regularly email me with updates and offers but to date I’ve never used their services and have no affiliation with them but they do come across as more helpful and open than the OPC financial salesman. I also don’t change cars very often and yes I have a Macan A 2015 DS model, nearly five years I’ve had it now. A replacement would need to be significantly improved for me to warrant changing it for a newer model. To be honest there is nothing out there, like for like I would change it for. It’s pretty well spec’ed and if I were to add anything from experience, roof rails, heated steering wheel & Burmester would make it the perfect spec. Theres a few of us on here with Macans of various models too so if you have any questions please feel free to ask, if I can’t answer it I’m sure someone else will
  2. Try Oracle car finance, they offer similar packages to suit your needs and are a big company. Ive never used them but did offer a better deal than the OPC
  3. Do NOT use Porsche PCP, the rates are crazy high. look elsewhere for your finance as you can literally save £1000’s in interest depending on how much your balloon is
  4. Hi David

Do you have an emails address for your contact that i may CC into a correspondence for this continual saga.

Given Solihull's quote for the lights against another OPC being £500 cheaper I'm going to push this further due to the lack of transparency

    Cheers

    Gary

  5. You also on the Macan forum after a Macan DS, ??

  6. Have a look at these links for more info, although different porsche models, all the same type info you need https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=48&t=1830160 https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=48&t=1827658 https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=230&t=1824713 https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=183016 https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1796502
  7. @dpg123 its all dependent on your needs, finance amount and period. If you have credit cards, look at 0% interest offers and max them out working out how much you need to pay back over the 0% interest period to clear by the end, yes you pay a fee but the overall expense will be tiny in comparison to OPC finance. As @Scubaregs states look at other finance providers for better deals. What have the OPC offered in regards to finance if you have enquired at all? Im guessing their APR will be circa. 7.9% or higher on a PCP, or if your putting in a substantial deposit and just financing to have no balloon it may be better. If your going to keep changing then a PCP with the smallest deposit may suit as although you will never own the vehicle you will be just basically hiring it for 2-3 years before using any surplus equity available for the next new one. if like me you don't change very often, borrow the absolute minimum of finance or pay it off ASAP. As not only will the interest you pay be costly but the depreciation will also be another hit, so thats 2 losses as soon as you drive off the forecourt & Cheyenne’s are not the Porsche range that hold their residuals very well. Neither matter if it long term ownership and ability to pay it off ASAP is what you do. I’ve spoken to (but never used) Oracle finance as they have offered to mstch anything Porsche offer, maybe they can do better in the current climate
  8. Shop around, Porsche finance is notoriously expensive. Far better options out there if you need to finance a porsche vehicle.
  9. That’s sucks but still a saving at least
  10. Yeah, but how does that stand now you’ve already renewed? Cooling off period? 🙏🏻
  11. fek!! Ive had similar where insurance companies with certain policies don’t accrue NCB. It sucks but I’ve just renewed with mannings and was £70 cheaper than last year
  12. Thanks for the heads up Mines up for renewal this month and the only thing I'm a bit annoyed with is this statement “You will be aware there is uncertainty in relation to insurance cover in Europe after we leave the EU. At the moment ************** is advised you will need a Green Card document to extend the policy to include cover outside the United Kingdom. Therefore if you are travelling outside the United Kingdom any time after we leave the EU please telephone me. We understand there will be a charge but we do not know what it will be yet” Frankly i could take the policy out and they ‘might’ charge anything they like and I wouldn’t be able to do anything about it other than cancel the policy and go elsewhere
  13. Try Henderson & Taylor, they only insure sports cars, good prices with track day cover too.
  14. I suggest you don’t add up the payments and balloon or if you do, sit down!
  15. No problem Now I’m intrigued, what you found
  16. Im insured through Mannings a PCGB sponsor. Have an agreed value based on PCGB valuation and appeared to be no extra cost to my policy.
  17. No problem, the genuine Porsche parts/repairer is part of my requirements too, to maintain the warranty. Hope you get a good result, keep us posted as if you find a better deal than any recommendations then would be good info for fellow members
  18. Pm's replued too, be interesting to know if they can help you
  19. I received my renewal from A-plan but wanted track day cover and guaranteed value. unfortunately they couldn't help on this occasion not for want of trying though. Ive taken out a policy with a company recommended on PH, guaranteed value legal cover NCB protection and cover for 5 track days for the same price as A-Plans renewal quote which doesn't provide two of the above items. Not sure it's fair to name the company on an APlan thread so if you want the details, PM me
