Lonewolfgjp
Hi there Found these pictures online of a bypass mod for 987. Just wondered if anyone has had it done and also if anyone knows anywhere in the West Midlands that would do it? Also how much it would cost? Im guessing it could be done in situ? As my exhaust doesn't seem to be blowing and I don't fancy upsetting it! Thanks in advance

Sedgy
The above is my 987, 2.7 with my sort of bypass mod. Basically no secondary cats, new flange bolts and gaskets and top sliding sleeve, 12mm drill hole next to the sliding sleeve, and the X-pipe tail pipes.. Lonewolfgjp
If it works the same as on 986 it should give a nice sound similar to the PSE exhaust without any drone. Sort of turning your stock exhaust into a sports exhaust sound without having to replace it.
2Epic
Doesn't really sound louder, sounds like a blowing exhaust a little
Lonewolfgjp
Have you actually seen and heard that bypass mod I'm looking at? Im interested to see what it sounds like? The bypass exhaust on my 986s sounded great and very similar in sound and volume to my dad 4s PSE. It certainly did sound like a blowing exhaust ? Taking out cats can often just make a horrible noise.
Jason986S
To be fair my de-cats have added some motorway cruising drone. But to me it's minimal and far less than I've had in the past. So it's easily bearable. Just to note, sports cats gave the same volume when booting it without the cruising drone.
