Mugen are like Brabus are to Merc, but for Honda (along side Spoon Sports, kinda). Ive had had these on my last 2 Honda's (they're reps as the real deal are hundreds and very rare). But as I generally dislike the rubbery feel of my 986 pedals, I've looked at fancy metal covers. The Porsche ones are expensive IMO and are also 99% of the time non-genuine parts when they do come up. There are other plain (reps) available, but just wanted to input or experience from you guys. But the reps being plain and with no branding they look cheaper and are still £50, which is probably excessive marketing to Porsche owners when other unbranded or reps are £10-£20. Need to be drilled on but the wider pedal helps my braking and heel and toe for sure. Same as the unbranded 'Porsche reps' @Jason986S linked at £50, but £47 all-in (with import duty) and including a foot-rest cover (albeit for LHD but fits just by flipping it over). boxtaboy Posted February 3, 2017 Report Share Posted February 3, 2017 Honestly, I wish someone just made aluminum pedal covers that just press over the existing pedals without having to drill into them. I have them on my Audi and Benz, and they look/feel great. Don't like drilling into pedals and risk having the screws back out over time or snap. el 3.2S Posted February 3, 2017 Report Share Posted February 3, 2017 I fitted a really nice aluminium set of four to my Boxster. All great until I came to the metal brake pedal. Absolute nightmare trying to drill it, got rattled and gave up in the end and glued it on lol. May revisit it at some point but for now it is fine. Jason986S Posted February 3, 2017 Author Report Share Posted February 3, 2017 On my old Honda, the accelerator had to be screwed on, but the clutch and brake had 3M foam adhesive tape/pads then a clamp/bar on the top and bottom that was tightened in with Allen keys to pull in down to lock it onto the pedal face.
