Anyone help

Car didn't start yesterday, RAC diagnosed a problem with the starter motor.

Called garage and informed

Starter motor is ok

clutch switch ok

battery ok

alternator ok

any ideas ?

I'm guessing it's not turning over as the RAC suspected the motor. In which case I will go for a dodgy ignition switch as that's a known weak part.

Until SJ comes back with more info its just guessing though.

Garage have told me suspected clutch switch failure.  Part to be fitted today ?

So the part that breaks is the part that's not needed, can't say I've ever had a car that made me put my clutch down before. perhaps for the hairdressers ?

You might want them to do the brake switch at same time. Mine both started failing together.
