Lennym1984
Hi I am planning to swap the front brake pads on my 2.5 986 and I want to know whether it is prudent to order new wear sensors or whether it is generally okay to reuse them (if they haven't been "activated" by worn pads)? Cheers Leo
Boxstercol
If they've not worn through & activated the warning light on the dash then they 'should' be ok to re-use. However, I've read alot of forum posts where people have broken / damaged them when trying to remove them. I'm planning on changing my rear discs & pads soon & have bought the sensors just in case. RickLS7
Mine were pretty old and one broke getting it out although it wasn't apparent until the error showed afterwards. A lot of people don't bother and bypass them, not expensive so I replaced it.
mardell100
I've had my brakes removed a number of times, refurbed callipers and now just fitting new coil overs, on every occasion with a little wiggle with some long nose pliers they have been fine, and reused with no issues. They are £8 a corner from Design911 worse case.
