dpg123
Good day all! I have a 2004 986 and am planning a trip to Europe soon. What's the advice on headlights once I get across the channel? Can I switch them somehow to driving on the right or do I need to buy headlight reflectors? If so, what ones has anyone used? Thanks! map
If you look in the owners manual it will explain all for your specific setup. I have Litronics and it's a simple case of removing the headlight (manual explains how) and then altering the position of a lever within the housing. Both sides first time round about 30 minutes (20 for the first light). Second and subsequent changes about 10 mins once you've go the tool out of wherever it's kept. Do it on the train if EuroTunneling (it's always dry in there - or at least should be!) otherwise whilst hanging about for the ferry. Not sure of the drill with non-Litronic lamps. Otherwise it's a case of buying headlight deflectors - buy before travelling otherwise you're paying distress prices at the terminal/port - following the instructions and sticking them on the surface of the headlight housing - again easy to do and done at some point whilst crossing the channel. Menoporsche
if removing, try before - I've read the tool is plastic and soft, and is better substituted with a metal one (5mm hex or socket or something).
