Viewing car today

It's a tough call when you've made your mind up. When you're buying it seems like every decent car is selling from under your eyes so some pressure to do a deal when you find one you like. I'd say at this money, these are not rare cars and new stock is appearing everyday. In fact I'm convinced there is a glut of them hidden away until the temperature warms up a little and they go on the market.

Last year, I had decided to sell my 987 in the winter but held onto it until exactly this time of year before I placed the ads -

^^^^ this - i’d Run a mile from anything with a mileage discrepancy.

that plus a non indi service, for main dealer money, and interior that you aren’t happy with - and will annoy you EVERY time you drive it.

they aren’t that rare, onto the next if I was you

Does seem a bit scruffy for the mileage the worn bushings at 22k in the mot file is suspicious also.

thanks all, sometimes you just need confirmation of what you already know.  Keep looking perhaps they have a further drop or i'll keep saving to see.   yeah the seat bothered me alot and i took a pic of the hazard button which  was scratched (how the hell you scratch that god knows) but if its someone that has had the car for 6 months and onto the next one makes me think hes probably ragged it around as he knows its going back in 6 months so not bothered about looking after it.      Set up my saved searches on autotrader so one will pop up.

thanks for all the advice and help.

hi, yeah ive kind of fel in love with the looks of the 981,  i did originally want the 987.2  and that might be the route to go for a 3.4 PDK as very hard to het the 981 one in that guise for that sort of budget

Yeh, each of these items in isolation might be explainable. (Some MOt satiation just report signs of wear on almost everything etc) but bolsters, suspension and potential mileage discrepancy might just be too many warning signs for me.

Unless it's mega value I think you are better finding one with dealer or specialist history, it's more important than spec on these.

Heated wheel is cool but the downside i'm guessing is that it has the gear change buttons rather than paddles, i don't like these but some don't mind them.

I think finding out what has been done at the Major (4year) Service is important, were spark plugs changed, brake fluid? Was polybelt done at 6 years? Air filters changed at 4 or 6 years etc.   But the minor services aren’t much more than a glorified oil change so not much to worry about there.

I’m with daz on the 2nd point. The Sport Design Wheel is a £1k option, and not heated and no multifunction but to me was a must have for the look (best Wheel Design ever IMO) and paddles, but plenty manage without so YMMV.
