the baron Posted June 24, 2019 Author Report Share Posted June 24, 2019 Finally removed the lock mech, its an 8pin vw part by the look of it. Anyway the fault seems to be at the 8 pin connector, if you wiggle it it locks unlocks and the window go up and down, also if i hold the connectors in place and tap the mech it does the same so presume its the mech that’s at fault. @PaulQ did this happen to yours if you can remember. I might take a chance on the ebay VW part Douglas valley have a genuine one for £80 but its used and 20yrs old so might have the same issues.
