Tynesider
Hi My seat belt buckle red push buttons are really faded and look shabby. Has anyone got any good ways to refurbish, or is it easy to replace and what would I need to look out for? My car is a 1998 986 Cheers
Lonewolfgjp
Depends how faded but I’ve use C4 and it revived mine 👌
Tynesider
Thanks, is that the same C4 gtechniq that I have used to do the exterior black scuttle panel etc?
Lonewolfgjp
Yes! Give them a wipe with a bit of panel wipe or some rubbing alcohol and apply a bit of C4. I did it on both my 987 S and it worked well but they aren’t mega faded. I did it on my 986 and they were very faded and it did improve them a lot but they were still a little pinkish 👍

jonogt6
Mine had almost gone white, so I used several coats of red permanent marker allowed it to dry and then wiped them over with some interior trim spray. Sounds rubbish I know, but they look like new and haven't deteriorated since I did them 12 months ago.
Tynesider
Well here's the result, pretty good I think, so thanks Lonewolfgjp the C4 worked a treat. Thanks for you suggestion jonogt6 but already had some C4 and its done the job. Thats another task off the list!
