So when selecting reverse you get the diagram of the car on the PCM screen showing sensors as you reverse. This picture has stopped appearing. I can still here the beepers, but not picture. Can’t see any way to turn this on either. Any ideas?

I'm on an earlier car so can't test - are these options set in the PCM ?

Push “Car” button
Push “Option” button
Push “Set Car”
Push “Set Parking”
Check “Rear View Camera”
Check “RVC grid Lines”
Test camera is working by pushing “Show RVC image”

Thanks for the reply but I don’t have a rear camera. Just rear sensors. They beep but don’t show the pic of the car and sensors.

Might be worth checking what you do see under the "Set Parking" option, assuming that option is there.

Tried that to. Nothing. Wondered if there was a setting for it I’d missed. Spent ages fiddling with pcm earlier trying to make interior lights come on when you open the door. Why would they put that menu on the dash display stalk?

Is the car a manual or PDK ?

Found the content below, which gives some detail as to when the ParkAssist warnings kick in and it says the visual display is always activated when in reverse - so think you can rule out a setting, something isn't doing its job.

From the Porsche "Good to Know" app (on my iPhone)

Switching the automatic display on/off

If PCM is activated, the visual parking aid is shown on the PCM under the following conditions:

- when reverse gear is engaged

- if a roll backwards is detected

- if the distance at the front is less than 80cm

1. press the w button

2. Press the I button or touch the tab of the same name in the header

3 select SET CAR

> SET parking

4 Select ParkAssist to activate (b) or deactivate (a) the function
