Roger C
Ahh thought it might be. My stereo sounds really tinny so I think this may have gone, is there a way of testing it or (a long shot I know) does anyone have a working one I could ‘borrow’ for a few days before I part with my hard earned on a replacement. Paul P
Going to guess that if it’s not working no sound comes out. So perhaps the speakers it’s supposed to drive are “silent” and you are getting the “high end” only. You could just disconnect it and see if anything changes. At least then you would know if it’s doing anything.
entdgc
On my 08 2.7 the ASK amp powers the door speakers and the head unit powers the dash speakers. If the (bass) door speakers aren't working it will sound tinny. Whilst playing music put your hands on the door speakers - you should feel them vibrating.
