Meridianmet
Yes it's still there, I haven't replaced the sensor yet, planning on doing it at the weekend.
Meridianmet
Well I've just ordered the part, time to dust off the spanners!
Meridianmet
Well the Sensor has arrived, so time to put it in this weekend. I went out to start the car this evening, and it was running fine, no rough idle, and no misfires, so it could possibly be the wet weather, so maybe worth changing the plugs and coils in the not to distant future? BBB
I would clear the codes and replace coil packs and plugs. Keep the O2 sensor for the future if needed.
Meridianmet
Thanks for all the offers of help and advice, best get servicing, probably purchase a code reader as well. Also might as well cha ge the sensor whilst I'm under the car as it has already been flagged.

If they do clear the problem and the O2 sensor then doesn't come out easily, which they don't always, you will be creating work and cost. Has the sensor been flagged as an issue without considering the coil packs being a problem? In which case it could be a red herring. There's enough other things on these older cars to consume your time and money.
