Warranty claim

Popped into Porsche Bournemouth after the oil change at my Indi as I was passing and to have a moan about no replies to my calls and get them to look at the carbon fibre on the cup holder, which is faulty.

Actually managed to see a new service assistant who came out to the car and looked, took some photos and then went with me to a GTS Cayman they had for sale with carbon. He agreed that the carbon was wrong. Got his computer and said, we need to book it in for the warranty process......we will need the car for 2 days, whilst we process the warranty claim. Then I can pick it up and return for the part to be fitted if approved. I just fell about laughing, they want my car for 2 days just to look at the b****y cup holder🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I said I want to see the service manager who fortunately came out after 30 minutes with a tech who agreed and have started the warranty process😡

Then bumped into my SE who offered me a coffee and checked my order process...apparently I may well be in line for a 4th qtr slot to spec and lock in a car for early 2024 delivery......now that will be a dilemma😳

So ignore the carbon and swap the rest of the car out , sorted ;)

GT Silver with Red interior 🔴😜😂

Therein lies the issue as I would spec exactly what I have now, just with the leather steering column, so an expensive bit of leather. However I now have my 2nd Silverstone day booked, which was the reason for keeping the deposit down.

Can I flip it, would be a bit nervous, maybe worth chatting to a couple of specialists?

My last loan car when I took the 911 in for service towards the end of last year was an Audi A5!!  Though that was also at a time when there was virtually no stock and hardly anything in the way of courtesy cars.  Rest assured it will not be a 911 or a GT car so will not be as good as your GTS.
