@Southy...can I ask you now you've had it for a while...what are your thoughts on the GA tuning box?
Im thinking of pushing the button on one
For me it has sharpened up the whole car, the throttle response is better and it just seems to have more mid range grunt, I have nothing to back this up other than actually driving the car, weather has been bad, mines only a weekend car and I haven't seen a dry day on a weekend for a month!
The have a 50 day money back guarantee, I'm not sending it back

it plugs straight into the obd so is removable and undetectable, it basically fools the ECU intercepts the signals I guess, another version is the racechip it's another company they do the same thing though.

@Southy I was thinking of a custom remap, do you notice a difference when you plug that in? I haven't seen that one before.
Yes, a noticeable difference, the throttle response is quicker and it pulls harder for sure, the wife drove it for the first time in a while with it fitted and she said it was faster.... I've not done any real world checks though so I could be talking cr*p.
50 day money back guarantee though

I ordered a KN, it got lost in transit , have just ordered a BMC instead. Can't see me doing the airbox it looks a complete b..tard and people a lot more competent than me struggle. might do a remap at some point
ideally you'd want a custom remap, so it can take full advantage of the throttlebody and exhaust pipework, I CBA and bought one of these 🙂

yep, taken down some lanes in Ireland, it seems a lot quicker, the test will be when I bring it back to UK and meet the Yorkshire posse. Have you had a remap? Did you do the 987 airbox?
I've still got the 986 airbox with a K&N filter, I bought a German remap obd box thing, it seems to work although not pushing it due to the weather 🙂

Completed throttle body upgrade, compliments the 200 cell cats, tubular manifolds and smaller drive pulley, car revs so much quicker and more freely
I did mine a while back, let the fun begin 🙂

Was bored over Christmas and this popped up on my very helpful google adverts, they had a sale on and I thought, why not
effectively it's like a generic remap without overwriting your ecu, just connects to your obd and I guess intercepts the engine signals and does something.

I have nothing to gauge it against other than the seat of the pants feel, but it does feel more aggressive, faster throttle response for sure.
I can switch modes with the app, so I must get this tested on a rolling road at some point.

Great video mate, really appreciate it, we should get this copied and pinned in the how to section, @Araf

There's no going back now you've broken those nylon bushes !
Nah I never use my cars parts, I always keep the originals and just buy a spare, in this case the gear selector, did the same same with the instrument surround and centre console, although the garage is filling up with parts

Turned this - small how to will be fiollow shortly, took no more than 30 mins. I've not installed it yet.

drove it in the rain! was in a convoy of cars doing 32 in 60 zone, couldn't see why, turned out it was a woman in a Rover Rover Evoque, two BMW's behind her overtook, left her and another small car - eventually got them lined up on a bit of straight road and drove past, it was quite dangerous following them as I was almost waiting for someone to run into the back of me

Put down a deposit on it! Picking it up tomorrow evening
Ordered the console delete kit from my local OPC so I will have a little more knee room, as well as some of the bits and bobs I need to retrofit cruise and computer.
Right then pictures when you can, oh and enjoy your first drive

I have just realised there is a whole bunch of new emoticons available on the forum - at least on my laptop browser! Forum software update I presume... there are even skin tones which is interesting - I don't think I have seen that option before!
what new icons, I thought these have always been here!

Driving back from my Mothers on Sunday, came across a monster at the lights a AMG V12-Bi Turbo SL convertible, something similar to the one below, could hear the beast roar as he pulled out in front of me on a dual carriage way, took a mile to catch up and a set of red lights

What have YOU done to your 986 today ?

Had a good blast today on some dry roads, positive it has more mid-range, the electronic throttle has definitely been tweaked by it as well.
