I would love to do this on my car too. If at all possible, could you do a write up?

An image from last night to show what has been taking my time up.

Drove to Sutton to collect a complete set of Porsche Design 18" wheels. Its too hot to even unload the car now.....

Viola passed her MOT this morning today too. Only advisory was slightly corroded brake pipes. I sprayed these up whilst at the station. Good for another year.
Hood down motoring to work this morning!

Drove to Sutton and back to collect a Lapis blue hardtop and stand for my car. When i got home both my wife and my two daughers shouted - yuck, that doesnt look nice and even worse said that it made my car look like a MX5 ?
I will be selling the hardtop no sooner than i got it. Let me know if anyone wants a Lapis blue hardtop in as new condition with stand.

Deleivered Viola safely to Lee at Cotswold Porsche specialists for its annual service, MOT and general tidy up. Nail bitting times as its the first service under my ownership.

Southy - that sounds scary. Don't get me started on the state of the UKs roads.
I live in Marlborough and the local roads were voted worst than Romanian farm tracks. No wonder everyone has Range Rovers.

I managed to drop my vacum cleaner onto the rear quarter panel and dent it. DAM!!
Do i entrust a dent wizard type place to remove this?

I actually used the car to get to work today in preparation for the Dyno day tomorrow.
Really looking forward to it.

Scratches gone - looks liek a good job!
I read your original post as you 'polished out' the person who scratched your bumper. I would have done the same.

Got Viola out of the garage ready for the run to work and back tomorrow.
She is booked into Steve Bull specialist cars on Monday for a inspection. Its dripping a bit of oil and on start up was a bit chattery - is that normal or is that IMS failiure?

Panicked about an oil leak under the car. It seems quite a lot of oil, but is golden in colour. I have booked in with a specialist - Neil Garner in Kemble - for a diagnosis.Looks to be around the gearbox. A few drips in the middle and a couple either side.
Gulp.

Try RH specialist - they are good.

I cant take the credit and it wasn't today - but yesterday.
But my wife finally worked out how to pair my smart phone to my SPH-DA120 Pioneer car stereo. She also worked out that it would play music from a usb dongle attached to the cables in the passenger footwell.
We managed to make 16GB work - now to see how big I can go! I noticed that 64GB memory sticks are dirt cheap now via Ebay?

I used her to go to work today - it was one of the most fustrating expereinces of my life. The engine comes alive over 4k rpm, but there just isnt enough road to get up to speed!
Even in Swindon - the traffic is horendous and white van man especially loves trying to touch the back of my car with thier bumpers. The roads are clogged and you just cant make any progress. I even got started from a set of traffic lights in 4th gear as i had lost the will to live.
Does anyone actually use thier car for commuting ?

My wife has taken the 986 S to her yoga classes this evening.....Gulp.

I finally got around to insuring it - my good lady paid £230 for 5k miles limited policy.
What is going on with the car tax website - if i buy a tax disc this evening, it will start on the 1st Oct (so 31 days of wasted tax). So i have to buy it tomorrow morning :-(.
What have YOU done to your 986 today ?
