  1. The car goes to sleep after about a week and will not respond to remote unlock by design.

You need to try to open the door (lift the handle) whilst locked which actuates the microswitch in the door handle and wakes the car ... then unlock with the remote as usual.

Hopefully this is all it is?

01111 can be written as 0F in hexadecimal - for those of us old enough to remember when programming was real work....

Indeed.   See my post above somewhere.  This also equates to ascii SI or Shift In ... taking us back in time... 😬

You need an agreed value policy - but of course you’ll pay more for that, and you’ll need to get someone to support your valuation e.g PCGB or TIPEC do this for free if you are a member.

I have had an agreed value policy for a few years now, I need an updated valuation every 2 years and currently hold one from PCGB and also from Cotswold Porsche Specialists that I subsequently provided to my insurer for the policy (Manning).

Mine gets done annually, regardless of mileage, which is usually under 3k miles every year.

Probably the best preventative maintenance you can do on an engine in my opinion. 👍

    Same.

Last couple of years that's been around 1000 miles each... 🤔

I’m afraid I can’t or don’t know how to put up more photos regarding the process, but I can always write about it😅

Keep a record of your progress in photos and whenever you are ready you need to upload them to a hosting service like Flickr or Imgur.  Once hosted you can embed as many photos as you like in your build thread, we can help when you get to this point if you need...

I started cycling during 1st lockdown and crashed on the road and then moved off road. Hopefully, I won’t end up regretting this but I would prefer to take the risk than not when we are closing the door on things for good. That said, according to Strava, my max speed is down from 53 mph to 39 mph since the last oh sh*t moment.

You don't want to fall off at either of those speeds 😁

    Have fun but take care!

you got away with that and hope you fully recover soon. Thankfully, my three recent crash’s have been quite slow. One of the people I ride with had a high ish speed crash when he was out on his own and said he laid there for a few minutes before he could move and seriously wondered how long it would be before he was found!

    I know!

I've two close friends who have been bike injured since I did this.  One broke his neck and ended up in an induced coma,  he is able to respond now and has just been transferred to the spinal rehab unit in Salisbury.   The other has detached two tendons on his arm and needs surgery as he can no longer lift his arm.  I did comment they were both trying to outdo me (and succeeding 🙄)

Made me rethink my cycling... ultra-cautious is my current approach!
