    Calm down dear?

"The requirements allow for several different types of ISA system to be fitted.  By law, every type of system must be overridable, and allow the driver to switch the system off for the duration of the current journey."

You can switch it off when you want to hoon, or leave it on when you don't want to get a fine unexpectedly.

All part of moving towards semi-autonomous driving.

All sounds quite reasonable and how I've used my speed limiter in recent years anyway...

Interim hire car for my new job, BMW 118, so alas, no. 😐

Again, not exciting but I do have a new version of the SEAT listed in My Ride on order.  Just a tool for doing a job, the excitement/fun is the Boxster or Mrs ½cwt's Golf cabrio at other times.

Understood.  Still any new car delivery is exciting 😎

You're lucky if it's seagulls.  Don't you have Great Bustards flying around down your way?  Being the heaviest of flying birds I would think that just one of them having a bowel movement would completely change the colour of a car.

Jesus.  I've just looked up those bad boys.  21kg for one specimen and up to nearly 9 feet wingspan!   That's a lot of poo potential in the skies above 🙄

How are they holding up? Another contributor mentioned that his started to corrode after a couple of years. They look lovely but I'd be worried about rusting if spending that much.

I bought these in 2016 as I recall.  After a couple of years there was a little corrosion showing which would polish off I think but potentially marr the coating...

I'm on black OEM bolts now.

I am looking rather smart, even wee Jimmy looks ok. By far and away the ugliest baby I've clapped eyes on and unfortunately he's got even uglier as he's got older.

    Cheeky fecker!

That is one perfectly proportioned baby 👶

I learned a similar lesson to you in the Z3M It was running on 5 cylinders in northern Germany, so I decided to limp it to Zeebrugge for the ferry and this happened! The plug electrode had burnt off and fallen onto the top of the piston.....Expensive.

This happened to us in a Vitara a few years back.  The guy in the garage managed to bounce the electrode piece out (perhaps!) Or maybe it just got lodged somewhere.  The car was so agricultural there was no perceptible impact after this!  So one set of new spark plugs later we were good to go for a few more years 😀

@McDonald - spend the money on a good handling course instead? You can throw your car around on the limit and find out what happens when you exceed it, without damage. Well worth it in my opinion. A few here organized one, who was it @rowbos?

CAT Driver training.  As recommended to me by Centre Gravity as it happens...

Brilliant day there.  I'd do it again!
