4 new Koni Special Active dampers, ARB drop links and rear bump stops have been delivered today to go with the coffin arms and tuning forks that came last week. Plus Gas soaking into all the nuts, bolts and joints as I write. £920 into suspension refurb project.... Now (in no particular order) for the blood, toil, tears and sweat! 🤞 😨
I'm doing the same work in about £1600 so far, your not doing bad. Good luck with it

Hi
I think the best matching ones come from the VDO range. I think the 5 bar versions are most appropriate. I wanted to do this but have done the console delete. I would like to find somewhere else to put the oil pressure.
All the best
Berni
I didn't really fancy splashing out for the VDO ones, as I am unsure if I would be happy the final result. But yes a 5 bar oil pressure gauge would be the appropriate choice with a volt meter.

Any chance of getting a picture with all of the dash? I have contemplated doing this my self, but cant find a decent set of matching gauges I like.

They could have used the facelift model, or at the very least stuck all the options on for the asking price.

Exactly, I never lock the door as the red light drives me crazy
Don’t they all lock when you drive off?

Having it flash when raising is a good idea but would drive me mad if it was on all the time when the spoiler was up.
Would be just like having the door locked light on...you wouldn't really notice unless you looked at it.

Tell me about it! That wasn’t even all of it. Bodes well to me reassembling only to find a coolant leak right by the pump! 🙄🙄
Some people shouldn’t be working on cars

The finish looks good but what colour is that, it's hard to tell.
It’s Plastidip with Matt black paint on top.
A picture can tell a 1000 lies, lol. It’s not a bad finish really

Painted the centre console, I’m happy with the end result.

Today I painted the wiper arms a nice satin black

Today I repaired the holes that were split on the rear carpet that goes behind the seat.
Sewing on the first wasn’t brilliant, until I worked out a sequence 😆

It's kept at a friend's garage. I don't really need to go there as it's a weekend car and I,m busy delivering loads of food atm.
Fair play to you sir, keep the country going in these difficult times.

Your probably right, I had the issue last year but the tester got to pass eventually
Anyway today gave it a minor service and booked it in for retest this coming week.
Booked a day off work so I could take it run before it’s retest. The bloody amount of road works going on around the area is something else.
Anyway it passed just.
Got it booked in with Revoultion Porsche, for them to give it once over, just so I know it’s all running like it should be.

If it has been parked for 4 months a good blast putting lots of heat through the exhausts should clean it up and burn off any residues thay may have hardened on the lambdas without any additional special (snake oil??) products.

Took it for its MOT...failed for emissions, lambda sensor was reading a little high.
Going to try some Cataclean and take it for a blast before a retest, only problem is that it has full tank of VPower in it. So not sure if the Cataclean will do anything.
Cars been parked up for the last 4 months, so not sure if that has anything t do with it.

That's basically what he does. Buy in the eBay one and modify it.
Wouldn't take much to modify my eBay one, to add the extra bearings. But just not sure if the effort is worth it...does it real add anything to a greased one?

Thanks, so it’s like the eBay ones with couple of extra bearings added on the ends.

Ben's Short shift kit fitted
Very impressed with it, has that lovely notchiness now
Function first gearknob on the way too so hoping that reduces some of the side to side play
Was this pre assembled short shift, or something modified by someone on here?

They didn't have any when I asked.
Get some decent blades for the saw, and cut down the metal bush not just the bolt. As you don't want to damage the chassis, Its a bit of slow process.
I just need to get my hubs back on to the hubs, then I can start fitting my new suspension arms back on. Just need a day off and some dry weather.
