Looking good mate. I take it it's no longer for sale?
Still not 100% sure. If someone offered me a decent amount of money id let her go. But it wouldn't be at the bargain price now all the wee bits and bobs are sorted.

Refurbished wheels fitted. See my build thread for pics 😉

There are other things you can do that will not affect the usability of the car. Saying that if my clutch went I would deffo up rate both Fly and clutch
Remap as mentioned
Underdrive pulley kit
Bigger plenum and TB
Exhaust
Induction kit
etc etc

Clever hands-on folk like you, save yourselves money with expertise but maybe you're less aware of indy pricing.
Precision Porsche are a top outfit. I also asked them to test drive the car to make sure the recent upgrade to GT3 Master brake cylinder had improved performance. The technician said my brakes were better than the ones in his Cayman.
I get most of my work done at a Porsche specialist too. I cant be arsed with the grief of things breaking on the driveway.

Maybe that includes a chiropractor fee, I think you have to do this upside down in the footwell.

Full Marks iborguk, it was the brake pedal switch. £18.98 for the part, £71.25 labour, all served with a rich VAT sauce £18.05.
Codes cleared & all is right with the world.
Thanks, Mc
That seems pretty high on the labour cost. I thought it was a 20 min job to replace?

987 advice

The 2k difference for a warranty would worry me that there is a known issue. That aside its a stunning looking car! Owners and mileage wouldn't worry me.
If you can put that 2k aside for any future issues, then that's what I would do. As for weeping, mine has never weeped so there is at least 1 that doesn't.

Are those on 18" rims? Goodyear/Mich Cup 2 or similar are defo on the list.. Really interested in how you rate them vs PS4 (which is what I currently have)..
Yes 18s on mine. They are fantastic and also quite a bit cheaper than the PS4 which is a bonus

Make sure you get some mileage out of them and enjoy them. I have been very impressed by them on the 986.
They have been great on the rear. Much more engaging than the ps4. Haven't had them out in the wet yet though. Thats where the ps4 is supposedly better.

Anyone interested in a 53 plate boxster for parts?
It's in good condition, but has a timing chain issue that I've been quoted £4.5k to fix.
It still drives ok, if not with the grunt it should have!
Maybe a second opinion would be advisable, as Meno said, that's rare and seems expensive!
