@MickH did you have to have anything adjustable on the front side too or was it just the rear toe arms, obviously would need setting up geometry wise after installing

of interest what wheel size are you running too?

Shame there isnt a -20mm - the M030 isnt quite enough visually

After much research the front doesnt need additional adjustment. Thats even with -35mm. It would possibly make a miniscule difference.

Asda do tyres? Since when? 😆

Thats fitted via local tyre shops and its the best price I've found yet.

I used them recently.  Guy at the indie they sent me to, told me to phone him direct and he will beat Asda next time.  That might be worth trying

  3. Just for balance. I have H&R 35mm lowering springs on Koni Sports and adjustable rear toe arms
car handles amazing. Never bottoms out unless its extreme roads. And even at that its not a major issue.
car is deffo quicker than standard. And my pec instructor said it was the best 987 he had sat in for handling.

Ha. MickH named that tune in one. You have previous experience?

No but I know many a person that has left with a huge surprise bill.  He seems to have a knack for fixing things that are not broken and supplying huge invoices.

Have you ever dealt with APR? (Used to be Drew Patterson) in the Mearns, highly recommend them

Paid £640 at a specialist in Glasgow 18 months back. Specialist at the other end of town wanted nearer £1100 but he was plying me with warnings of "once you start with 6 pipes at the front it soon grows till you need to do all 14 pipes". Didn't care for his flim-flam, nor his expectant call the next day telling me he had a lift available now. Half expected an Amway pitch to follow up.

Was that George Morrison per chance?

  7. Im a massive coilover fan in general but was scared off by a lot of posts saying they were not suited to the car.

So I pussied out and went with Koni Sports and H&R springs.

Very compliant and the perfect ride height. I'm glad I went this route. For me coilovers would not have brought anything else to the party.

  8. Every engine is slightly different, even same engine in the same car.  Mapping will account for those differences and make the car more efficient.  Manufactures also have to detune cars to make way for emissions laws so that has an effect too.

A good remap on one of these cars with supporting mods will not make a huge BHP difference, but will give a really smooth power band with more torque.  That alone is worth a remap.  But only if its a custom map.  Generic maps will not get anywhere near the best out of your car.

I've tried to contact Wayne at chipwizards 3 times now, as he has been recommended on here as a Porsche guru.   But still waiting on a reply.

Still torn on keeping the car or not, maybe if she is still with me next year Ill pursue it again

Friend of mine was looking at a Skoda estate nothing fancy. Was quoted 40 weeks,if a non standard ish colour a lot longer.

I've been waiting for my new company Octavia estate since November (Plug in hybrid right enough), currently stating that it will be December this year.  Its been pushed back 3 times now.  So I'd say 40 weeks would be lucky

  10. Having been there and done that with what was supposedly a high end exhaust, every exhaust specialist I asked told me to not bother messing around and get the topgear/ DT/ Spyder exhaust.  These are essentially the same but with different names.  I have the switchable one which my neighbours thank me for in the mornings.  And only ever use it closed on long motorway journeys.  Even fully open there is no drone, even with the stainless manifolds which have increased the volume even more :)

I have also realised that on my DesignTek one, there is an element of adjustment which I've used to slightly tame the volume on wide open.  If I was to do it again I wouldn't bother changing the manifolds as it sounded perfect on the standard ones

I’m 6’2” and didn’t have a problem once I purchased some Toms and Puma Speedcats. The thinner sole just made it comfortable enough for me to drive without changing anything else in the car, plus the thin soles helped with heel and toe as well.

Vans slip ons are also pretty good.  Plus the waffle soles are really grippy
