Paul O
Hi,Just got my quote through for this year. Bend over, trousers-down time. Last year I'm sure it was £650ish after a lot of work, but this year it is up at £850. Through Adrian Flux. I've tried Elephant, Confused, esure and Tesco's so far. None of them are anywhere near.29, full ncb, no penalties etc. Any suggestions? I'd be happy with £700. Despite car-crime and claims/payouts going down last year, the bl00dy insurance still goes up year on year!Cheers!Paul.

ezzie
I would have said esure, as I've just had a very good quote from them. I think they're better for those that have made a claim in the last five years but outside the last three, as request info on 5 years convictions, 3 years claims. Worth trying A-plan, they're usually quite competitive.
Purdie
Try Liverpool and Victoria. Excellent for my circumstances but others have found some cheaper.Worth a call though.

Paul O
Thanks all for your replies.L&V weere £1k+, as was esure and elephant. Noel Dazeley said they were busy and would call back - but never did. Abacus were really helpful (sounds like he spent most of the day searching for me), but couldn't get below £950.Sounds like they know you well, Dean - when I mentioned your name they were expecting me to ask for a quote on a Bugatti or something equally extravagant! So, I'll be going with Adrian Flux again this year. I'm going to dig out my old quote though and find out if it has gone up - and if so, why.Cheers,Paul. ATM
It took me 3 days to get to speak to someone at Noel Dazeley but when I did they were £200 cheaper than everyone else. They are a tiny broker with only 4 staff [or something like that] and therefore never phone anyone back. I guess they are busy enough with the people who know they are cheap and persevere. Nobby
...try Cheam, nice guys, speak with Justin 02086527733. It won't be the cheapest but you will get excellent cover usually with a company called Chubb, they are performance specialists. You get what you pay for come claim time! These boys will give you a guaranteed no quibble value for your car and allow you to choose which body shop does any repairs. Unlike some budget companies who keep their costs down by making you use their bodyshops which won't be porsche approved and therefore affect the resale value of the car! Beware!
