Araf
EXY, that's the problem with being in bandit country. My old 986 was £330. I think the 987 is about £450, though it's on a part used policy, so I had to try and pro-rata it.

Nelson
Have you noticed the number of "confused" and "Compare" sites there are now...?Soon we will need a site to compare and un-confuse them....!!!
haggisandchips
Just got my renewal in £625 with Aon 3000 miles a year, 2004 2.7 Boxster.Anyone else got something similar to compare it too That seems a lot to me ... I managed £700 from Mayfair for a new Boxster S as a main car 14000 miles/year, SP60 + recent fault claim . Adding Mrs H brought the premium down significantly but I can't remember the exact figure.EXY, that's the problem with being in bandit country.Does this make a big difference? EXY
Thanks for the replies lads I should have added that doesn't include any NCB, I used that on the Fiesta I thought that AON were the only company offering low usage policies Araf and Haggis, Bandit country does make a huge difference sometimes, although it's not as bad as it was a few years back. The explanation I was given was that we don't have any cap on PI claims over here so there are lots of fekwits running around needing a fresh set of kneecaps
Berty987
Just got a quote from RAC for my 987S (LHD) on 7k miles per year. Protected bonus (7 years) , and legal cover for £ 540 from the RAC using moneysupermarket.com. European cover costs another 20 pounds for the whole year , and the policy has no limit on car audio equipment if its factory fit. They also have a good repurtation for settling claims and no issues with Porsche loan cars valued in the 45K range. All of the "specialist" insurers wanted at least 700 pounds up to over 1000. Porsche insurance was probably the next best quote at 800 but this includes 3 track days per year and european breakdown cover too. Best quote I got for a single track day was about 250 pounds with a 10% of car value excess , so for track day junkies the Porsche insurance is probably the best. Although you have to have experience or some nonsense like that i'm assuming you have to get the experience at your own risk My renewal doesn't sound too bad then as an extra £50 brings it up to 5k a year.
