alank
Hi want to change oil/filter in my S, can I do it by just jacking up one side, undoing drain, letting oil out, remove filter, then drop car to level off to drain all oil out. Jack up and replace Plug and filter. Or is it better to raise rear using both jacking points. Thanks
EXY
Your way sounds OK if you can't manage to drain it with the car level. Measure how much comes out that way you will know, should be almost 9 litres of it was full when you started.

mvw
I did mine recently. I jacked it up from one side, lowered to level to allow as much oil out as possible and put 9 litres back in so it must have been close to empty. One thing I will say it to give it plenty of time to drain out and don't be fooled into thinking no more will come out when it's jacked back up. Once mine had stopped flowing I jacked the car up a little to get the oil tray out from under the car, then while transferring the old oil into containers to take to the dump I heard a gurgling and it promptly started dumping more oil onto the gravel drive! Luckily, Mrs mvw wasn't in and I had time to clear the mess up ?
