big mike
I've the seats out of the car as I knew there was a leak on passenger side, bottom of passenger door was soaking so going to start there(I can see a couple clips not fitted properly) So is there a diy repair? If not where can I get the best price on a new one
cj225
Yeah, you just need to seal it. You can do it with a decent waterproof glue. I think I did mine with Impact glue, then used high strength adhesive tape as a double-strength seal whilst the glue dried.
big mike
Great, I use a product called ct1, silicone typed stuff but very good seal
cj225
At the end of the day, it's just a seal. They don't do anything special except keep the moisture out of the car. Tape/Glue will do

None of the video guides I have seen actually show the membrane being removed.
Toeside
Another excellent how too link on panel removal. The seal is a adhesive soft strip which can be degraded over time the membrane is the steel panel. http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/boxster-cayman/198613-guide-removal-987-boxster-door-interior-door-panel-complete.html parts https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=door+membrane&rlz=1C1CHWA_enGB633GB633&oq=door+membrane&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.7207j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=door+membrane+boxster&tbm=shop

PaulQ
Pretty sure I used these clips. Double check the sizes though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30x-BMW-Interior-Trim-Clip-Fastener-for-Trim-Panel-Door-Card-and-Boot-Lining-/381218481331?fits=Car+Make%3ABMW&hash=item58c26464b3:g:hdgAAOSwPhdVI3KZ
Chris H1AVFC
This is the RS Components Single Sided Tape I mentioned earlier that can be used to replace the original foam tape off the door membrane.
Chigley
Hi guys, I've followed the clips on this thread and found them very useful in removing my 987 passenger door card to trace a leak that caused the "carpet" trim at the bottom of the door to be drenched during last weekend's heavy rain. I've resealed the membrane joint that was defective with silicone and replaced all the plastic locking rivets. Reassembly 'appears' to be straightforward, just the reverse of taking it apart. However, I traced the leak using a hosepipe directed against the outside of the passenger door window. When it rains again, as it surely will, water will run down from the exterior window surface into the interior of the door. How does that water drain out? I can see rubber "grommets" and a square to "tape?" on the bottom of the door sealing holes but no sign of drains. Where should I be looking? because as it stands the inside of the door will slowly fill up with water???
