The 'garbage' is 4 ohm and Bose use 2 ohm impedance - so it would have to be specially made garbage.
drumsterphil
I'm doing the conversion tomorrow with the same speakers as OP. The new speakers have a positive and negative terminal but the original speaker doesn't have any indication - can I connect the new speaker terminals to either side of the retained connector block? Pretty sure there is a + sign on the positive terminal of the plastic socket. It's not that obvious but it is there if you look closely.
