Thats why I took the lazy route and jumped in a GTS. Finding an S in the right colour, PDK, PASM, sport chrono, PSE, etc... was proving impossible. I figured I'm just tying up more capital in the purchase but the total cost of ownership will be no more than an S.

A GTS would be lovely but I think they'd be out of my budget. Are the GTS all manual? I'd like a PDK with the flappy paddles as I took one out a year ago and was absolutely sold on them. My absolute ceiling is 40k and I don't think that would be enough.

GTS are manual or PDK, mostly PDK I think.  £40k won't be enough for a GTS - I think they were only made from 2014, so even the oldest is just 3 years old.

I think there are likely to be more buyers of the pdk but if you have the right manual with the right spec you will be able to apply a bit of a premium for the right buyer to come along you may just be waiting a little longer.

Big manual fan here but have gone PDK this time because I felt the gearing was a little long for the performance on offer in comparison to my E92 M3 which the Boxster has replaced.

Speaking with specialists they say demand for manuals outstrips supply simply because less were sold  - when they get manual stock it gets sold straight away..maybe more difficult if its a lurid shade or green but otherwise no issues finding buyers
