Topbox
So have I read the manual but cannot discover how I can lock the car but turn off the alarm. Ideally you need to be able to do this when you put the car on a ferry, otherwise the vibrations set the alarm off. In the past I have left the car unlocked. Feel sure I am being a bit dim . . . . . That986
Personally i wouldn't worry about it unless you think the battery will die.
Gutley
A double press of the key to lock will disable the interior sensors, but not sure about the tilt sensor. That may be solved by the unlock trick mentioned here https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/653437-any-easy-way-to-disable-996-alarm-without-having-issues.html Or you could just take the Eurotunnel ?
