edc Posted September 24, 2017 Report Share Posted September 24, 2017 Hold a new belt and try to rip it apart. It will take a lot of force. So unless your belt was already cracking or quite well worn and brittle then the other cause is one of the ancillaries seizing and the others still spinning very fast albeit momentarily.
